I am a mathematics professor with a B.S. and M.S. in Mathematics, as well as an M.S. in Applied Statistics from the University of Oklahoma. I have also been accepted into the Research, Evaluation, Statistics, and Assessment Ph.D. program at the University of Southern Mississippi for the Fall 2026 semester.
My work sits at the intersection of teaching, learning, student success, quantitative methods, applied research, statistical modeling, machine learning, and clear communication of data-driven results.
Professional Focus
- I am interested in how people learn mathematics, statistics, programming, and data science, especially when difficult ideas can be made clearer through careful explanation, visualization, and structured practice.
- I enjoy applying statistical methods to real-world problems, with an emphasis on rigorous reasoning, ethical interpretation, reproducible workflows, and useful communication.
- My current project work focuses on applied statistics, machine learning, educational data analysis, research design, model interpretation, dashboards, and production-aware data science workflows.
- I am especially interested in projects where mathematical reasoning, applied statistics, machine learning, and data storytelling can help people and organizations make better decisions.
- As an educator, I believe in a high-expectation, high-support environment where students develop technical knowledge, confidence, discipline, and independent problem-solving ability.
Current Direction
I am building a professional body of work that connects mathematics education, applied statistics, quantitative research, machine learning, and practical AI/ML systems. My strongest direction is work that combines rigorous analysis, clear explanation, human learning, applied modeling, and decision support.
